"Every color I use is to express an emotion, a mood, a state of mind that displays what it means to be human, to be unique, to be alive. With the brush in my hand, I am more alive and happy. I like to see my paintings come to life in front of my eyes and tell a story. I describe my art as gentle, happy, uplifting, and cheerful adding a little bit of magic to every painting that I do. This is why I love to paint.
I was born in Yoshkar-Ola, Russia, and have always been drawn to express myself through art since I was very young. As I was growing up, I was surrounded by my parents and grandmother’s singing, dancing, and music being played on the guitar and balalaika so much so that those childhood experiences have carried through to my art. In 1999, I received my degree in Social Psychology from the University of Moscow Social Psychology, Moscow, Russia. I then moved to the USA where I received my Cosmetology degree from the College of San Mateo, San Mateo, CA in 2008. And after all that, my desire for art eventually led me to become a painter. Today I'm a fifteen-year self-taught artist who enjoys creating art using bold bright colors and texturing with abstract expressionism being the main subject. I enjoy creating beauty all around me and painting has given me the opportunity to do so."
